July 2007, selected by the Detroit News as Finalists for the Sonic Summer Series

April 2008, selected to perform at the International Pop Overthrow Festival to be held in Detroit for the first time as part of a series of shows around the country. The IPO in Detroit will be held April 9-12 at Paychecks in Hamtramcyk, Michigan

The Starfire Band is currently working in the studio on their new CD called " Livin'In The City". The CD will include 15 new songs from a variety of musical influences. The hope is to release the CD in the spring of 2008.
